Maserati has officially unveiled the MCPURA, its latest high-performance supercar, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2025. Representing the pinnacle of Italian engineering, the MCPURA is a bold evolution of the award-winning MC20, blending advanced performance technologies with timeless Maserati craftsmanship.
Pure Power Meets Italian Design
The MCPURA features the iconic Nettuno V6 engine, a 3.0-liter twin-turbo powerhouse delivering 630 horsepower and 720 Nm of torque. Built entirely in Modena, the engine incorporates Formula 1-inspired technology and achieves an exceptional power-to-weight ratio of 2.33 kg/CV, thanks to its lightweight carbon-fibre monocoque structure.
Available in both Coupé and Cielo (convertible) versions, the MCPURA pushes the boundaries of what a road-going Maserati can offer. The Cielo model features a retractable PDLC glass roof, the first in its class, capable of switching from opaque to transparent in just one second.
Futuristic Elegance in Ai Aqua Rainbow
A highlight of the launch was the MCPURA’s exclusive Ai Aqua Rainbow body finish — a dynamic color developed by Maserati’s Fuoriserie customization program. The color shifts subtly in sunlight, mimicking the spectrum of a prism and underlining the vehicle’s futuristic aesthetics. Complementing this are laser-etched Alcantara seats, butterfly doors, and refined magenta detailing across the body and wheels.
A Tribute to Maserati’s Modena Heritage
According to Maserati COO Santo Ficili, the MCPURA is a statement of the brand’s enduring legacy in the Motor Valleyof Italy. “MCPURA represents the soul of Maserati — high-performance, luxury, and pure Italian craftsmanship. It’s made entirely in our historic Modena facility, from engine assembly to bespoke customization,” he said.
The car’s name is paired with a striking campaign formula — E = MCPURA — a nod to Einstein’s energy equation, representing Maserati’s commitment to channeling pure, limitless energy into every design.
Expanding the Maserati Legacy
The launch of MCPURA signals Maserati’s continued commitment to innovation in both combustion and electric platforms. The new model will join the brand’s expanding lineup, which includes the GranTurismo, Grecale SUV, and the all-electric Folgore range.
With over 30 custom paint options, advanced materials, and groundbreaking aerodynamics, the MCPURA sets a new benchmark for Maserati — one that blends Italian elegance, motorsport heritage, and future-forward technology.
