Honda Unveils Refreshed Civic e:HEV with Sharper Design and Enhanced Interior Features
SME News UK. The 2025 Honda Civic e:HEV receives bold design upgrades, new interior tech, and retains its efficient hybrid performance.
LONDON, August 1, 2025 — Honda has officially revealed the latest update to its acclaimed Civic e:HEV, introducing a refreshed design and enhanced cabin features while maintaining its proven hybrid powertrain. The upgrade comes as part of Honda’s continuous evolution of its hybrid offerings, responding directly to customer feedback and market demands.
Sharper Exterior with a Sportier Edge
All Civic e:HEV models now come equipped with a redesigned front upper and lower grille in a gloss black finish, paired with a bold new headlight garnish. The sculpted front bumper adds character, with a new body-coloured lower spoiler further enhancing the car’s premium stance.
Advance and Sport grades now feature distinctive 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels — grey-finished for Advance and black for Sport — offering a more dynamic and aggressive profile. Fog lights have been removed across all grades to streamline the design, thanks to upgraded LED headlights that ensure optimal visibility in all conditions.
New Seabed Blue Paint Option and Color Accents
To complement the exterior update, Honda has introduced a new “Seabed Blue” paint colour, replacing the previous Premium Crystal Blue. New optional accessory colours include Berlina Black, Nordic Silver, and Patina Bronze, expanding personalisation options for customers.
Interior Enhancements with a Premium Feel
The updated Civic now features a black roof lining and pillars across all trims, enhancing cabin ambiance. Matte chrome accents around the air vents introduce a sophisticated touch. The Sport grade gains a heated steering wheel, while the Advance variant adds ambient lighting and footwell illumination.
A new 10.2-inch digital driver display improves clarity and driving focus, and Elegance trims now come with wireless smartphone charging integrated into the centre console.
Proven Hybrid Performance Remains
Honda has opted to retain the current e:HEV powertrain, a two-motor hybrid system known for its smooth, fuel-efficient performance and refined driving dynamics. The hybrid setup continues to balance everyday usability with driving pleasure, a hallmark of the Civic nameplate.
Expanded Safety with Honda SENSING
The Civic e:HEV comes equipped with the full Honda SENSING suite, including advanced systems such as Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control. A new high-definition wide-angle camera and enhanced processing chip allow the vehicle to better detect road edges, cyclists, and pedestrians in both light and dark conditions.
Additionally, the auto-dimming rearview mirror, previously reserved for higher trims, is now standard on the Elegance grade.
Industry Reaction
Rebecca Adamson, Head of Automobile at Honda UK, stated:
“The Civic, now in its 11th generation, continues to represent Honda’s commitment to innovation, design, and driver satisfaction. With refined styling and trusted hybrid performance, this new version is built for those who want efficiency without compromise.”
